In the last 50+ years I've put together dozens of furniture units and other items. I find the task to be challengingly enjoyable. In all of those installations, a small but annoying percentage had difficult problems such as non-aligned screw-holes or partially useless documentation.Putting together this Kitchen Pantry Cabinet, however, was virtually problem-free. I was able to do the job on my own (except for step 23) and, over and over, was both delighted and amazed by how well the many, many pieces of this unit with its even more pieces of hardware fit together—perfectly. Note that the big box in which the pieces of the cabinet arrived was labeled as weighing 117 pounds. Draggable but not liftable for most people.Even though, overall, I experienced smooth sailing, I found the installation manual to be somewhat lacking (though not unacceptably so). The line-drawings required extremely close attention both in content and in the frequent, overly-small detailed pictures. It looks like a (very knowledgeable) engineer drew it. This is fine for their peers but instruction manuals for customers should be designed by a professional who knows how to transmit ideas to the general public.What made the installation much less annoying than it could have been was using pieces of masking tape to relabel the pieces with much larger numbers than the very small labels applied by the manufacturer. I also put the hardware in separate little labeled tubs so as not to have to deal with the plastic packaging.The end product is surprisingly sturdy though not as much as good, “real” furniture, of course. I found it to be a reasonably good value.If I needed another of these furniture pieces, I would happily buy this one again.(The most important piece of advice I could give would be to use your own good screwdriver instead of the supplied thing.)
